Common questions
How do I add a plant?
Tap Add a Plant Baby on Home. Give it a name, and add a photo, what it is, where it lives and how you water it if you like. Then tap Save plant.
How do soil checks work?
When a plant is ready, push a finger 2 inches down (or use a moisture meter, Sustee or bamboo skewer) and log Dry, Damp or Wet. Dry? Time to water.
How do I log care?
Open a plant and tap a Quick log button: Water, Fertilized, Pruned, Repotted, Misted, Rotated, Harvested, New growth, Bloomed and more.
When do reminders come?
A daily check arrives at the time you choose (8:00am to start) and lists who needs a look. You can set quiet hours, turn on weather-aware alerts, and hide plant names on the notification. Go to Reminders on Home.
Does it need my location?
Only for weather, and only if you want it. You can allow location or type a city. Approximate coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo for the forecast. Indoor plants don’t need location. See Privacy.
How do I back up my plants?
Go to Settings → Your data → Save a backup. Keep the file somewhere safe. To bring it back, use Load a backup (or Restore on the Welcome page).
Are the pet notes complete?
Pet notes use the ASPCA list, and it isn’t complete. Not sure? Ask your vet.
Will this keep my plants alive?
Plant Passage isn’t a guarantee your plants will thrive. It’s your garden log to help you spot patterns and learn as you grow! Tips and reminders are general, so check your plant first.
